My reading this morning is Psalm 30. It contains one of the most encouraging verses in scripture, "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."(KJV)
By reading the entire Psalm, I gained a new appreciate for mountaintop experiences. We learn life lessons during our valley experiences. We learn how to wait on The Lord and to endure. But what about your mountaintop experiences? When you achieve some measure of success or enjoy some moments of prosperity, does your faith turn from the heights of heaven and focus upon your accomplishments.
It is when you find yourself standing at the pinnacles of life that your praise should be pronounced and your exhortations should be proclaimed. In your success, don't allow your faith in God to be shaken.
In your fortune and fame, retain the resoluteness of faith that it is not moved.
If God can trust you with success in this world, He will shower upon you even more, so you can be a blessing to others.
