I invite my friends to meditate on Isaiah 25. The fourth verse reads: "For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones, is as a storm against the wall."
The East Coast is anticipating the effects of Hurricane Irene. Transportation systems are being effected. Plans are being canceled or postponed. Disruption seems to be the order of the day.
Yes, the storm will come. Its effects will be felt, but there is a refuge promised to you and I from the storm.
Seek God in the midst of life's storms and you will find that He provides refuge to those who are weak, weary, and worn.
