Brother Gil Scott Heron joins our celestial angels. He possessed a tremendous spirit and was a creative genius. I remember when he released his book, "The Vulture", while at Johns Hopkins in the 70's. He brought his band later that year to then CCB for a concert. There were about 60 of us in the audience, but he played like he was in a stadium. After that he exploded on the scene with theme conscious music that shaped a generation of activists.
