When one is thirsty, only water quenches your thirst. No other drink will do. There is something quintessential about the simple H2O of water that provides the body with all it needs.

When you are spiritually thirsty, where do you go to be satisfied? Do you attempt to quench your thirst with carbonated drinks or alcoholic beverages? In other words, do you seek a substitute for water?

There is no substitute for that which can only come from God. That's why when you find that you are thirst, God is the fountain of life.
