"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish." John 10:28
The tragedy of Japan and the massive lost of life, reminds each of us of the value and fragile nature of life. Life's experience is truly a vapor. Some may say, "here today and gone tomorrow." At the core of this life's experience is your faith and belief.
A Christian belief has an assurance that, "when this earthly house of this tabernacle is dissolved, we have a building not made by hand eternal in the heavens."
Who in life has not experienced the awful pains of lost? Who in life has not asked the question, "why?"
I stand on the word of God in matters of life and death. I believe in the eternal gift of God promised to each one of us.
Particularly as I wrestle with the massive lost of life in Japan.
Indeed, my faith confirms that, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
"Cheer up my brother, live in the sunshine, we will understand it, by and by. By and by, when the morning comes. We'll understand it better, by and by."
