This is the image we must retrieve within our local communities. Youth with eager anticipation for their future. I commend those who march, protest, and argue for improving our neighborhoods. Unfortunately we cannot wait for structural changes to take place. We must act within our own capacity to reclaim our youth. There are enough people of good will to adequately identify and claim at least one youth, other than your own, you will support. Support means to become instrumental in their lives by encouraging and exposing them to new opportunities. This is Youth Month at Union Baptist Church. A time for us to rededicate ourselves to the mission of youth development in every way.
