If you know anything about the history of education and high school sports in Baltimore City, then the name of Lloyd "Sodie" White would be legend. The retired Athletic Director of Carver Vocational High School that bears his name on its athletic field; this tremendous giant of a man died on Saturday, June 27th in California. He lived to be over 96 years old. He touched many persons by the integrity of his heart, the gentleness of his hand, and the sincerity of his spirit.
